References are an integral part of connecting and working with data across different departments.

Sometimes, however, members of one list may not be members of another. If those lists are linked using references, then users who don't have access to both lists won't be able to see the referenced content.


These users will be able to see that items are referenced, however they won't be able to see what those items are. They also won't be able to add or remove references.
