Thanks to the global files view, you are now able to look at all your files across collections with just one click. To access the global files view, simply open the side panel on the left of the screen and click the tiny attachment symbol.

After having clicked "files" you'll see a collection of all files. To make finding specific files easier you can search them by name or change the grouping, or sort type.

Simply click the search bar in the top right corner to type in a name of the file you are looking for. The toggle, which you can see at the top of the screen can be moved to adjust the size of the files displayed. The default sorting of the global files view is the "Upload Date". To change that, simply click on it and choose from the other options. To add a grouping simply click on "Group By" and choose the desired grouping.

In addition to the functions mentioned above, you can in- and exclude specific collections and also adjust the icon size by clicking the "..." icon in the top right corner.

To manage which collections are included in the global files view, simply click "Included Collections" at the very top of the menu. By default, all collections are included in the view. Click the filter icon and choose "Selected" after that to change that.

Now you will be able to choose specific Collections, Workspaces and even Organizations that should be included in the view. Simply click "Collections"/"Workspaces"/"Organizations" to find a list of all possible ones to choose from. In case you can not find what you are looking for straight away, there is a search bar at the top of each section.

The global file view is an add-on. It is automatically activated, but you can easily deactivate it from the profile settings. Click on the profile icon in the lower-left corner of the screen and select "Settings". Then you can click "Add-Ons" in the "Base" section. Select "Files."

To disable the add-on, you can click the red lettering. Confirm your selection. Thereupon, the add-on can be reactivated at any time in the same way.
