While the settings for 1:1 chats are relatively simple, you can make a lot more individual settings for group chats. You can open the chat settings by hovering over the relevant chat and clicking the "..." icon.

Choose "Settings" after that.

Settings in 1:1 Chats

In 1:1 chats, you can mute your chats as well as delete them. Muting a chat will no longer inform you of new messages, but will send a notification when comments are written or you are mentioned.

A chat is muted when the toggle is green.

Deleting private chats

Chats can be deleted with a simply click on "Delete Private Chat". Confirm the action to finalize it.

Settings in group chats

Open the group settings as described above. As the first option in the settings for group chats, you will see a switch for muting in 1:1 chats. If this is green, the group is muted and you will only be notified of comments and mentions.

You can also add a description to your group and change the group name.

Customizations

In contrast to 1:1, with group chats you have the option of customizing the chat a little so that it stands out better in your navigation area.

You can select one of the icons displayed in the options list. If you have a paid plan, you can tap or click on "More" to browse a list of thousands of icons that match your needs.

Tap or click on the icon color and background color options to choose from a range of colors.

The chat is displayed with this icon and color in the navigation area and easily stands out from your other chats!

If you want to customize your group with a little more than a default icon, you can also upload your own files and images. To do this, click on "Image".

You can insert any file using drag & drop or copy & paste or search your files for the desired file. It is also possible to create a drawing as a group picture.

Change organizations

You can move the group between your organizations by clicking on the field below "Organization".

Actions

Group chats can be duplicated. You may want to create another group with the same settings. Duplicating is very helpful for this.

Click on "'Duplicate group name'" to create it a second time. Confirm the process. It will then appear under the same group name with the addition "Copy".

Access

By clicking on "Access", you can view and manage all members with access to this group.

Add member You can add a member to the group chat by clicking on "Add member". You can add someone you already work with by searching or tapping on their name, or invite someone who is new to Zenkit.

Add group If you are part of an organization, you may have the option to add a group of users to the chat.

Delete group chats

At the bottom of the settings for group chats, you will find the option to delete them. Click on it and confirm the process to permanently remove the group.
